Job Summary:

Cubic Transportation Systems seeks a passionate and creative individual to lead product marketing efforts for its' Umo platform. Responsible for producing information on current and emerging Umo products to enable sales, BD, bids and proposals, customer success and partners in a highly competitive environment. The product marketing specialist is charged with developing comprehensive marketing materials, go-to-market strategies, and competitive intelligence products. The incumbent will develop marketing campaign plans and work with cross-functional teams to develop and promote products to support transportation agencies and regional government partners. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction and closely with leadership, strategy, and product teams. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, collaborates creatively with multiple teams and has extensive experience managing simultaneous projects.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop compelling product messaging and positioning for the Umo SaaS platform.
  • Create marketing collateral, including product sheets, case studies, blogs, and whitepapers.
  • Collaborate with product management to understand product features and translate them into benefits for our target audiences.
  • Plan and execute product launches, working closely with product, customer-success programs, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Implement programs to generate new leads, strengthen current customer bonds and convert competitor's customers.
  • Develop comprehensive product campaign plans and go-to-market strategies for existing and new products.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance and provide insights to improve future initiatives.
  • Plans, coordinates, and produces marketing communication activities to build a positive company reputation and brand awareness.
  • Create and deliver sales enablement materials and training to support the sales team and customers (a la train the trainer)
  • Provides copywriting and eye-catching design mockup support on external communication initiatives, including web, advertising, collateral materials, and press releases, closely adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Aligns with a social media manager to promote positive brand awareness, customer use cases and product announcements.
  • Manages projects, develops timelines, advises on cost estimates, and creates and maintains project plans for integrated marketing projects.
  • Collaborates with regional marketing managers to support strategy and event execution.
  • Communicates regularly with key project stakeholders and marketing leadership to provide updates on projects, budgets, schedules, and objectives.
  • Serve as SME for product features that drive sales and customer engagement.

Minimum Job Requirements:

A four-year college degree in marketing, communication, or a related field is required (master's degree in marketing or business preferred), plus a minimum of eight years of experience in product marketing, promotion, or advertising. Proven history of creating marketing programs and materials using electronic media (Web, social media, Email, etc.). Working/strong familiarity with Adobe Suite programs. Canva knowledge is a must. Self-starting and effective communication skills are necessary. Direct knowledge of marketing collateral design, best practices, and tools. Medium to large-scale event management and planning desired. Must be able to work independently and with a team supporting various customers at the executive and technical engineer levels, supporting pre-, during and post-sales environments.

Cubic Pay Range:

$ 96,355 - $132,400 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
