Post-doctoral Fellow in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 528831)
We now invite applications for the captioned post available in Prof. Dongkeun Ki’s group.
Duties and Responsibilities
- perform various research activities to discover and understand new quantum transport phenomena in van der Waals engineered graphene and other 2D materials
- design/refine/maintain the research instruments and facilities
- write research papers and represent the group in international conferences when needed
- teach PhD students and research assistants in the group
- perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- a Ph.D. degree in experimental condensed matter physics or a related discipline (those who are expecting to complete the degree before the application deadline will also be considered)
- at least three year’s relevant research experience in nano-fabrication (e-beam lithography, lift-off, etching, etc.), van der Waals assembly, and low-temperature & low-noise electrical measurements
- having prior experience in using low temperature cryogenic systems is preferred
- good problem-solving skills
- the ability to work independently and in a team
- self-motivated and responsible
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
