The Office Coordinator will report to the Human Resource Manager and is responsible to provide general office support to onsite and divisional leadership teams. This position will coordinate various office tasks and functions, be involved with various site initiatives, and special projects.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

  • Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, and participates in functional department safety meetings
  • Greets and directs visitors (am/pm)
  • Coordinates and manages visitor calendar
    • Prepares and distributes notifications
    • Prepares rooms for meetings/presentations
    • Assists with logistics (hotel information, places to dine, etc.)
  • Assists divisional leadership with:
    • Employee recognitions
    • Logistics for meeting activities
  • Organizes meals for site functions, leadership team, guests/customers
  • Orders office supplies
  • Prepare and/or update documents, presentations, reports
  • Assists site leadership team with specific tasks and/or projects, as assigned by the HRM
  • Coordinates interviews with job candidates, hiring manager(s), and HR
  • Identifies and manages community activities for site participation
  • Updates and manages on-site communications (TVs, bulletin boards, etc.)
  • Assists on/with Me@Saint-Gobain survey initiatives
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of high school degree or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year related work experience required
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, active participant in change and process improvement
  • Strong PC skills to include the use of Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to be flexible in the work environment, by assisting and/or performing other tasks as directed/assigned by supervisor and/or other levels of management
  • Ability to multitask, use strong time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple project and tight deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative to do tasks as needed, with minimal supervision

Practical / Technical Knowledge

  • Business Acumen - the ability to understand basic business functions, metrics and other information within the organization and industry in order to contribute to the organization's strategic plan.
  • Project Management skills - able to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions - see a project through from conception to completion with little supervision and defined goals while maintaining good communication to stakeholders throughout.

  • Experience with World Class Manufacturing methodologies or Lean Manufacturing

To make sure nothing is forgotten

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $26.00 to $42.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $59,488 to $96,096. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
